What the connector does
The Taam connector gives a supported AI assistant permission to work with the Taam account and household you authorize. It can read shopping lists and recipes, add or update list items, check items off, create recipes and menus, and add recipe ingredients to a selected list. Taam preserves item names and quantities and applies your existing household permissions.
Connect Taam
- Open the connector or integrations settings in Claude or ChatGPT.
- Select Taam and choose Connect.
- Sign in to Taam and approve the requested access.
- Return to your conversation and ask the assistant to use Taam.
The official remote MCP endpoint is https://taam.makorlabs.ai/mcp. Taam uses OAuth 2.0 with PKCE. Your Taam password is never shared with Claude or ChatGPT.
Example requests
- “Show me the unchecked items on my Grocery list.”
- “Add milk, eggs, and bananas to my Grocery list.”
- “Find my chicken soup recipe and add the missing ingredients to Grocery.”
- “Create a dinner menu for Friday using these recipes.”
Permissions and confirmations
Read actions only retrieve information you can already access in Taam. Write actions can change shared household data and are identified as modifying actions to the connected assistant. Duplicate-item and recipe-ingredient confirmation actions run only after you agree. If a household or list name is ambiguous, the assistant should ask you to choose before making a change.
Disconnect
Open the connected service's connector or integrations settings, select Taam, and choose Disconnect. Disconnecting stops that service from making new Taam requests. You can reconnect later and authorize access again.
Troubleshooting
- If sign-in does not complete, close the authorization window and try connecting again.
- Confirm that the Taam account has access to the household and list you named.
- For unresolved problems, email Taam support.
